Mike Cavanagh, Head of Cultural Services at Pembrokeshire County Council, said: “It was great to have this opportunity to discuss the big plans that we have for Britain’s smallest city with the Cabinet Secretary, who was very eager that the UK City of Culture title comes to Wales in 2021.

“He was keen to learn more about our campaign and we look forward to keeping him updated on the bid as it progresses. We are delighted that Mr Skates has been so supportive of both our bid and Swansea’s, but it is still really important that the public continue to back the bid by following the St Davids 2021 social media channels, where they can find out the latest news and win some amazing prizes.”
